Job Description
CGC Cards is seeking experienced Sports Card Graders to join our new service dedicated to expert and impartial sports cards grading. CGC - Sports Cards is Certified Collectibles Group (CCG) affiliate dedicated to third-party authentication and grading services for sports cards and memorabilia.
Our sports card and memorabilia grading service will use world-class expertise cutting-edge technology and operational excellence to join the other CCG companies in quickly becoming the leader in its category.
Specific Responsibilities include:
- Researches identifies and authenticates collectible sports cards
- Assesses the condition quality and furthermore grades the item using established standards
- Meets established production goals while maintaining superior grading standards
- Entry of grading data into computer system
- Comprehensive knowledge of both vintage and modern sports cards across all major US sports
- Expansive knowledge as it relates to card printing including printing processes variants and errors
- Knowledge of other sports collectibles areas is beneficial
- 1 3 years of direct grading experience as a card grader or as a dealer/collector with extensive grading submission history
- Detail oriented with the ability to detect counterfeit and altered cards with a high level of accuracy
- Maintains the highest level of integrity
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Strong organizational skills to achieve production goals and maximize productivity
- Willing to travel domestically and internationally as business need arise
