Job Description
Our client is a third-party testing and certification agency with a strong presence in Asia that is looking to expand their foothold in China.
They are seeking a meticulous and knowledgeable Product Safety / Certification Specialist to ensure that their customer products meet all industry regulatory and compliance this role you will be working closely with internal teams testing laboratories and certification bodies to manage safety evaluations conduct compliance assessments and support the certification process for a variety of products.
Previous focus on industrial equipment/machines electronic devices/components and pressure vessels is strongly preferred.
Professional working fluency in English and fluency in Mandarin is required. Please do not apply if you do not feel confident about your language abilities as there will be a short audio test before the interviews.
Please note that this is a FULLY REMOTE position so feel free to apply from any city inside China.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinate and manage product safety testing and certification processes from initial evaluation to final approval.
- Review product designs technical documentation and test reports to ensure compliance with relevant safety regulations and standards.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of applicable product safety standards regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Support internal teams in preparing technical files and compliance documentation for audits and inspections.
- Identify and resolve compliance issues implementing corrective actions when necessary.
- Provide training and guidance to internal teams on product safety and certification requirements.
- Track and manage certification renewals to ensure uninterrupted compliance status.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bare minimum 3 - 5 years of experience in product safety and/or certification roles. Compensation scale will be adjusted for more senior candidates.
- Certification specialization with industrial equipment/machines electronics and pressure vessels is strongly preferred.
- Third-party testing agency background is a big plus.
- Strong knowledge of ISO 17020 ISO 17025 or ISO 17065 standards.
- Familiarity with global product safety regulations and certification schemes especially CE markings.
- Professional working fluency in English and fluency in Mandarin is required.

Bachelors degree in engineering quality management or a related field is preferred.
