Job Description
The Role:
We are seeking an experienced Technical Design Manager Structures with expertise in structural engineering particularly in both construction technical office work and design. The ideal candidate will possess strong problemsolving skills and the ability to handle complex onsite challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary liaison between the construction design and technical teams ensuring seamless communication and efficient issue resolution.
- Review and manage technical submissions drawings material requests and method statements ensuring full compliance with project specifications and construction standards.
- Work closely with design consultants to resolve designrelated challenges and implement necessary modifications based on site conditions and construction constraints.
- Support the construction team in resolving technical issues particularly those related to design and material handling.
- Monitor and document design changes ensuring proper implementation without disrupting the project timeline.
Requirements:
- Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in construction technical office roles particularly in largescale structural design and construction coordination.
- Strong expertise in prestressed concrete structures and experience handling complex construction challenges such as limited site access or material logistics.
- Ability to read and interpret structural and architectural drawings with experience coordinating between design and construction teams.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to manage complex technical discussions and provide effective solutions.
- Experience working on complex largescale construction projects preferably including highrise or major infrastructure structures.
- Experience working on complex construction projects ideally involving highrise or largescale structures.
