Casualty Claims Technician

Pro Insurance currently has a new opportunity for a Claims Technician to join our Casualty Team.

Pro operatesa hybrid working model and majority of this role will be working form home and travel to our local ELPL hub in Glasgow Liverpool or Horsham on a weekly basis and other locations when required. A fully remote role can be considered with occasional visits to Glasgow.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Casualty team Claims Manager the Claims Technician will handle a cradle to grave mixed caseload of EL/PL short tail disease claim to include but not limited to the following: -

• Housing Disrepair
• Care Claims
• Stress Claims
• RSI
• Other

• Managing all diaries and post within the agreed SLAs
• Liaising with solicitors and brokers
• Developing effective business relationships internally and externally
• Maintain accurate records for auditing and regulatory purposes
• Identifying potential fraud
• Proactively support the team in their achievements and overall business objectives
• Provide technical advice and guidance to external clients
• Oversight of PLF in respect of any litigated claims to ensure the case strategy is appropriate
• Contribute to projects relevant to the sub vertical
• Strengthen Client Relationships
• Represent Pro in a Professional manner to both peer and potential marketplace acquaintances

Skills and Experience

• Proven ability to handle Liability claims
• Experience of handling claims including HAVs NIHL Asbestos and Other claims a distinct advantage
• Ability to work towards Service Level Agreements
• Effective communication and key stakeholder relationship management skills
• Knowledge of claims handling & impacting legislation
• Claims Handling Authority/Licence appropriate to the work type
• Adaptable to change
• Strong relationship building skills and a professional and approachable manner
