Job Description
We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Monmouthshire to assist with the appointment of a Grounds Operative on a 8-month contract highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: 12.85 - 16.32 per hour
Summary:
To deliver high-quality grounds maintenance and street cleansing services across public spaces schools and contracted sites. The role involves working with external and internal clients to maintain a safe clean and sustainable environment.
Responsibilities:
- Carry out grounds maintenance activities including mowing planting pruning and verge upkeep.
- Maintain public open spaces schools and other contracted areas to high standards.
- Undertake street services tasks such as litter picking responding to fly-tipping and ensuring local environmental quality.
- Liaise with clients including housing associations health trusts police developers and other partners.
- Work individually or as part of a team to deliver efficient visible and sustainable services.
Essential Requirements:
- Experience in grounds maintenance or similar outdoor work.
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
- Good communication skills for engaging with clients and colleagues.
- Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Commitment to health and safety standards.

- You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
