Location: Kingston NY
Hours:
Monday - Friday 9:30am - 6pm.
Rate of Pay:
$22.40 non certified / $24.00 certified

OVERVIEW OF PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITES:
The Medical Office Assistant under the supervision of the Senior Medical Office Assistant will be an essential team member at the center of the groundbreaking programs and collaborative services underway at our Behavioral Health Clinic in Kingston NY. If you are well organized with an aim to support medical and psychiatric professionals in a fast paced and caring environment then you should become a member of the Access team!
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS /QUALIFICATIONS
Providing support to psychiatric providers to include (but not limited to):
  • Pre-visit planning vitals monitoring obtaining urine or oral fluid samples for toxicology testing completing Prior Authorizations on behalf of providers resolving insurance or pharmacy issues communicating with clients and collaborating with the care team.
  • Delivering administrative support in a large organization with a desire to support and serve others.
  • Experience with medical terminology medical billing and insurance companies able to provide clerical and administrative support to a variety of health professionals.
  • Excellent language skills in both English and Spanish are required.
  • Top skills in organization communication data entry electronic health records.
  • An individual with a caring and non-judgmental approach to others that values diversity and promotes cultural awareness and understanding.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • A high school diploma or GED.
  • Medical Assistant Certification or 3 years of experience working with doctors and nurses as they provide treatment and care.
  • Clinic or hospital ward experience preferred.
  • Proven work experience delivering administrative support in a large organization with a desire to support and serve others.
  • Experience with medical terminology medical billing and insurance companies
