The Senior Program Manager will oversee complex aerospace programs ensuring alignment with GE Aerospaces priorities of Safety Quality Delivery and Cost (SQDC). This role involves managing cross-functional teams driving program execution and delivering results that meet customer and organizational expectations.

Our Vandalia facility is located 50 minutes north of the GE Aerospace headquarters and sits just north of the city of Daytonknown widely as the birthplace of aviationwhere the Wright Brothers built the worlds first aircraft in their bicycle shop in the heart of downtown Dayton. This business boasts a rich history in operation for over 100 years. At over 140000 square feet the Vandalia facility rests on 27 acres right off Interstate 75.

At GE Aerospace in Vandalia we specialize in manufacturing and servicing world-class power generation and electrical control and distribution equipment for a variety of aerospace customers. Vandalia is also home to a product development lab where operators and engineers work together to invent the future of flight.

Job Description

Role & Responsibilities

  • Program Leadership: Lead and manage aerospace programs from initiation to completion ensuring adherence to SQDC principles.
  • Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders including customers suppliers and cross-functional teams.
  • Project Planning: Develop detailed program plans including schedules budgets and resource allocation.
  • Risk Management: Identify assess and mitigate risks to ensure program success.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track program progress report on key metrics and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Continuous Improvement: Apply lean principles to optimize program processes and outcomes.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in engineering business or a related field from an accredited college or university
  • A minimum of 8years of experience in program management

Additional Information

  • This role requires use of technical data subject to U.S. Government contract restrictions and this posting is only for U.S. Citizens. GE will require proof of status.
  • Ability to sit onsite at the Vandalia OH facility
  • No remote option for this role

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in engineering business or a related field from an accredited college or university
  • Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems collaboratively with cross-functional teams leveraging diverse perspectives to drive innovative solutions and achieve organizational goals

  • A minimum of 8years of experience in program management within the Aerospace/Aviation industry
  • Familiarity with GE Aerospaces FLIGHT DECK operating model
  • Experience with Kaizen Hoshin Kanri and Standard Work principles
  • PMP or similar project management certification
  • Strong knowledge of lean methodologies and project management tools
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex projects
  • Excellent communication organizational and problem-solving skills
