What We Need YOU To Do:

Ohio EPA wants you to be our newest environmental specialist in the Division of Environmental and Financial Assistance (DEFA) at our Central Office in Columbus Ohio.

We are looking for an organized results-focused individual to implement DEFAs air quality improvement grant programs provided through the Diesel Mitigation Trust Fund (DMTF) and Diesel Emissions Reduction Act (DERA). These impactful programs fund the replacement and repowering of various on-road and off-road vehicles as well as heavy equipment to significantly reduce emissions.

Your tasks include assisting interested parties in applying for grants and conducting technical and administrative review of completed applications based on program criteria and calculated emission reductions. Based on your review youll recommend projects for funding.

Youll monitor grant projects and provide customer support to grantees to ensure adherence to program standards and successful project implementation. When necessary youll observe equipment installation and destruction of old vehicles to ensure compliance with program requirements. Youll review and maintain project documentation such as modification requests progress reports closing reports emissions reductions and charger usage reports.
