About the Opportunity
The College of Arts Media and Design at Northeastern University seeks applicants to teach in-person undergraduate courses in Art Design at the Oakland campus in Oakland California for the upcoming Spring 2026 semester. Adjunct Faculty will hold office hours as appropriate.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have an MFA or equivalent terminal degree and at least two years of successful college teaching experience. Art media arts and design candidates should have active careers with current exhibition publication or creative practice and course related experience. Candidates must have the ability to effectively engage Northeastern students at course relevant levels of study whether beginning intermediate or advanced.
Northeastern University will not provide H-1B TN O-1 E-3 or any other type of employment visa sponsorship for the successful applicant to this position now or in the future. Furthermore the successful applicant must be able to maintain valid work authorization in the United States throughout the entire appointment without Northeastern Universitys sponsorship for a visa.

Pay Range:
The Per credit rate starts at $2387.03 per credit hour.
