Job Description

Job Summary:

The Tax Senior Associate will play an integral role in the tax compliance and provision processes for a highly acquisitive growth oriented PE-backed company. This person will coordinate with external tax providers on all compliance and provision related matters. This person will also be responsible for identifying and implementing process improvement opportunities to enhance the efficiencies within the internal tax function.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist the internal tax team with management of all aspects of the companys tax processes.
  • Review the companys income/franchise tax returns prepared by outside advisors - federal state and local partnership and C corporation returns.
  • Review the companys income tax provision prepared by outside advisors.
  • Coordinate with outside advisors and internal business units to ensure compliance with sales and use tax and property tax requirements.
  • Coordinate and manage tax related audits and notices.
  • Review quarterly tax projections.
  • Manage quarterly and annual tax account reconciliation process.
  • Assist with tax due diligence and structuring of M&A transactions.
  • Identify tax planning opportunities related to business acquisitions and other matters.

Primary Skills & Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in accounting; masters in taxation preferred
  • Active CPA license
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant tax experience
  • Proficiency in partnership tax corporate tax and income tax provisions
  • Ability to excel within a high-growth fast-paced environment
  • Proactively motivated and results driven
  • Exceptional communication skills and ability to develop cross-functional and cross-departmental relationships
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
