EMPLOYMENT SPECIFICS:

Full-Time (Exempt Administrative Appointment 260 days) 1.0FTE

POSITION LOCATION:

On campus position located in Fort Morgan CO

PURPOSE/SUMMARY OF JOB:

This position provides financial aid counseling and education to current and prospective students through programming and outreach on and off campus including but not limited to FAFSA/CASFA application assistance loan counseling default prevention default management activities presentations financial literacy programming and other educational activities; promotes scholarship opportunities conducts scholarship workshops manages scholarship budgets performs account reconciliation and posts awards for gift and endowed scholarships. The position requires some evening overnight and weekend hours and travel within the state.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors degree from a regionally accredited institution preferably in business administration accounting communication counseling or related field. A combination of education and experience equivalent to a bachelors degree may substitute.
  • Ability to create and deliver effective presentations to small and large groups.
  • Effective public speaking oral and written communication organization and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Proficient in MSOffice presentation and database management software.
  • Excellent customer service skills and the ability to develop working relationships with diverse constituencies.
  • Must be flexible able to work both independently and on a team in a dynamic environment and able to meet established deadlines.
  • Able to resolve complex problems and student issues while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Occasional long and irregular hours necessitated by special projects compliance with deadlines length of institutional day and week and committee service.
  • Able to travel out of town as needed.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Speak and write fluently in Spanish.
  • One (1) year of experience working in higher education.
  • One (1) year of full-time experience in private commercial or student loan industry and/or a grant/scholarship organization.

Anticipated Start Date: September 2025

Salary and Benefits:

$47457 to $57576 based on education skills and experience. Candidates with a Masters degree may receive an extra $3300 base increase. Benefits include health life dental and vision insurance LTD & benefit package including tuition reimbursement in accordance with Colorado Community College and Occupational Education System policies. No relocation assistance is provided.

About Morgan Community College (MCC):

MCC is located on I-76 80 miles northeast of Denver and approximately 100 miles east of Rocky Mountain National Park.
