Description
Responsibilities:
Lead and execute ammonia refrigeration projects from inception to handover
Develop time plans define project milestones and allocate resources
Oversee mechanical and electrical project elements
Supervise teams and subcontractors ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards
Track deadlines material deliveries and commissioning schedules
Collaborate with engineering teams to update specifications and drawings
Manage budgets monitor project costs and ensure proper invoicing
Conduct client meetings prepare proposals and quotations
Identify growth opportunities with existing clients
Plan commissioning and oversee project handover
Requirements:
Minimum 5 years of project management experience in industrial ammonia refrigeration (10 years is advantageous)
Engineering qualification (Diploma B-Tech or Degree)
Proficiency in reading PandIDs and electrical diagrams
Familiarity with QHSE procedures risk assessments and method statements
Valid drivers licence and passport
Willingness to travel within South Africa and East Africa
Strong MS Office skills and professional communication abilities
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
High attention to detail and strong documentation practices
Advantageous: Pressure Equipment Regulations SAQCC Gas CAT A SANS 10147 and thermodynamics knowledge
