Kendrick Recruitment is seeking an experienced and guest-focused Lodge Manager for a luxury lodge situated in Hluhluwe KwaZulu-Natal. This role is ideal for a hands-on and motivated hospitality professional who thrives in a high-end guest-centric environment and is ready to take responsibility for the smooth running of lodge operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare welcome and departure notes for all guests
Manage guest check-ins during the day and handle any special requests including dietary requirements and children
Implement and maintain operational procedures according to BOPs
Host guests throughout the day and assist with any needs following their activities
Ensure all guest-facing products and services meet the required standard
Oversee setup and presentation for all meals including breakfast lunch and dinner
Maintain cleanliness and styling of the main guest areas in line with lodge standards
Host guests at mealtimes and ensure smooth coordination between kitchen and service staff
Conduct daily room checks and manage guest check-outs
Collaborate with waiters and department heads to uphold service excellence
Assist across departments as required to support lodge operations
Ensure superior guest service and quality at all touchpoints
Manage bar stock and orders
Oversee staff management including timebooks performance reviews and other HR-related duties

Knowledge Required:
Relevant hospitality qualification
Understanding of local environment and surrounding communities
Awareness of the countrys cultural and operational dynamics
Familiarity with company values and sustainability initiatives
Valid unendorsed South African driver s licence
Previous Experience Required:
Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar camp or lodge management role
Background in the service industry with proven ability in guest and staff engagement
