Job Description
Hire Resolves client is a leading company in the manufacturing sector seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Technician to join their dynamic team in Cape Town. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation maintenance and continuous improvement of plant equipment and machinery.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine and preventative maintenance on mechanical electrical and hydraulic systems.
Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment failures and make necessary repairs in a timely manner.
Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
Collaborate with production and engineering teams to minimize downtime and support continuous improvement efforts.
Ensure compliance with health safety and environmental regulations.
Assist with the installation of new machinery or upgrades to existing equipment.
Requirements:
N6 or relevant technical qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
Trade Test (Millwright Fitter or Electrician) is essential.
Minimum of 35 years experience in a similar maintenance role within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Strong faultfinding problemsolving and analytical skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team.
Willingness to work shifts or respond to afterhours emergencies when needed.
