We are on the hunt for a fulltime Finance & Office Administrator with strong Debtors management experience to join our young dynamic team of Stillmen.
The ideal candidate should be able to acquire debts and pursue customers repeatedly via email phone carrier pigeon telegram and any other means necessary until payment is collected or until a harassment lawsuit is filed. Additionally provide administrative assistance to the management team. Must have your own reliable transport. This is an inoffice role.
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Maintaining debtors files
- Debt collection (without having to break kneecaps) and reports for weekly meetings
- Maintaining debtors contracts
- Sending client account statements
- General debtors admin
- Work closely with external Bookkeepers & Accountants
- Liaising with clients
- Resolving general client queries
- Filing
- Client web services management
- Diary management (Book and arrange appointment schedules and itineraries)
- PA duties
- Weekly recons and reviews
- General office admin support
- Datacapturing
- Processing of customer invoices
- Process weekly reconciliations across multiple accounts to ensure accuracy and consistency
- Manage and execute weekly payments to suppliers & inter bank transfers in a timely manner
- Ensure all debit orders are processed ahead of monthend deadlines
Requirements
Skills and Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of debtors experience required.
- A relevant tertiary qualification
- Clear communication skills both written and verbal. Must be able to skillfully persuade clients to pay what they owe and advise them of their choices and consequences of nonpayment
- Likeable but stern
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Perfectionist that is highly organised ambitious and aware of time management
- Knowledge and understanding of accounting systems and processes
- Critical thinking skills
- Brave in the face of occasional crackers going off
- Process and detail oriented
- Knowledge and/or experience working on banking platforms (FNB & Netcash)
- Experience or knowledge of working on Xero Accounting platform
- Ability to work independently
