Main Purpose of Job
Independence of auditors from their clients is critical to the audit business in order to ensure compliance with the International Ethics Standards Board for Accountants International Code of Ethics for Professional Accountants (including International Independence Standards). The IESBA rules and its application in the Deloitte Independence monitoring systems are complex and require specialist skills to support the audit practice.
Specialist in the application of the IESBA code. Responsible for implementing Deloitte independence policies and to ensure the accuracy and completeness of the internal systems which Deloitte uses to monitor independence. Also responsible to assist with independence consultations with the audit practice and support independence and compliance efforts.
