Job Description

FINANCE MANAGER - R 850k - R 720k pa Bonus - ATLANTIS CPT

A privately owned growing group of companies based in Atlantis is looking for a capable and trustworthy Finance Manager to oversee the full finance function across three entities. This role requires someone who is hands-on detail-focused and confident working in a fast-moving operational environment.

You ll lead and manage financial reporting tax compliance and audit processes supported by a dedicated finance assistant and a team of four sales administrators responsible for invoicing in a business with approx 60 staff. You ll work closely with the business owners and play a key role in maintaining financial control and integrity across the group.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management

  • Oversee the full accounting function for three group entities

  • Prepare and present monthly management accounts

  • Lead budgeting and forecasting cycles

  • Manage cash flow working capital and cost tracking

  • Perform monthly reconciliations and balance sheet reviews

Compliance & Audits

  • Handle VAT submissions for all entities

  • Oversee payroll for two companies (60 staff total)

  • Liaise with external auditors and manage audit preparation

  • Ensure compliance with SARS and relevant financial legislation

Payments & Controls

  • Prepare and load weekly and ad-hoc supplier payments (final release sits with directors)

  • Maintain strong internal controls to safeguard the business

  • Monitor the accuracy and completeness of invoicing (done by sales admin team)

  • Review supplier reconciliations and age analysis

Team & Systems Oversight

  • Supervise and mentor one dedicated finance assistant

  • Oversee and support the sales admin team in invoice accuracy and financial processes

  • Ensure smooth integration of finance systems (Xero or similar) and operational processes

  • Provide financial insight to directors for informed decision-making



Requirements

  • BCom in Accounting or similar (CIMA/SAIPA/SAICA registration advantageous)
  • Minimum 5 years experience in a similar role
  • Strong working knowledge of VAT payroll and audit prep
  • Experience managing multiple entities is a must
  • High attention to detail strong ethics and a sense of ownership
  • Confident working independently and leading a small team
  • Proficiency in cloud-based accounting tools (Xero preferred)

Education

Minimum 5 years experience in a finance or reporting role Strong background in multi-entity reporting and consolidation Proficiency in accounting systems such as Pastel Partner or similar Comfortable working in a scaling, fast-paced environment where the role may change as business scales Ability to work independently and own deliverables Experience with cash flow, VAT, and tax compliance
