Job Description
Operate lathes milling machines grinders and CNC turning machines to manufacture precision parts
Read and interpret engineering drawings for accurate machining and assembly
Assist with CNC programming and setup (Fanuc or similar) for efficient production runs
Assemble fan components including bearings shafts couplings and impellers
Diagnose inspect and repair components and rotating equipment
Perform routine maintenance and complete job cards accurately
Support custom fabrication projects and assist with equipment modifications
Check finished parts for defects verifying measurements and tolerances
Skills & Experience:
3-5 years experience in a manufacturing or engineering workshop
Proficient in CNC turning and programming (Fanuc or similar)
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
Able to work from technical drawings and use precision measuring tools
Experience with rotating equipment such as fans or pumps is an advantage
Reliable self-motivated and able to work independently
Good communication and teamwork skills
Safety-conscious with solid time management and adaptability
Qualification:
Matric
Trade tested N3 fitter or fitter-and-turner certification
Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered.
