What you will be doing:
Debtors Management:
- Oversee invoicing credit notes collections
- Manage debtor arrangements and franchisee loans
- Review debtors ageing reports and onboard new debtors
- Supervise debit order processes and monthly reporting
Creditors Management:
- Ensure proper invoice processing and approvals
- Review COD payments and BEE documentation
- Manage supplier accounts and resolve queries
Operational Expenses:
- Oversee travel credit card and claims processes
- Review international travel reconciliations
- Monitor unbudgeted expenses and reconciliations
Turnover Declarations & Franchise Fees:
- Ensure accurate turnover declarations and fee invoicing
- Oversee concession schedules and store turnover validation
Cash Book & Bank Reconciliations:
- Review and process cash book entries
- Perform bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
Fixed Assets Management:
- Oversee asset additions and depreciation
- Validate capitalisation of expenses
Governance & Controls:
- Implement audit recommendations
- Mitigate financial risks and improve processes
Leadership:
- Build and lead a high-performing finance operations team
- Mentor staff and drive process improvement initiatives
Routine & Ad Hoc Tasks:
- Authorise online payments
- Support Group Financial Manager with ad hoc requests
What we are looking for:
- BCom in Accounting or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years experience managing a finance team
- Strong leadership and organisational abilities
- Proficiency in bookkeeping and financial systems
- Excellent attention to detail and communication skills
- Proficient in MS Excel
- Collaborative team player with cross-functional agility
