Duties & Responsibilities
- Assess creditworthiness and grant credit to customers liaising with credit bureaus
- Reconcile customer accounts and resolve queries in a timely manner
- Capture orders generate pro forma invoices process receipts and allocate payments
- Monitor and process credit notes including returns and credits linked to goods
- Maintain accurate records of the debtors book and generate regular reports
- Collaborate with the sales team to resolve outstanding issues and support order flow
- Manage overdue accounts initiate payment plans and handle on hold customers
- Support SARS/SARB requirements for export-related transactions
- Assist in legal or customer account reviews by providing necessary documentation
- Demonstrate sound judgment in decision-making and uphold financial procedures
Desired Experience & Qualification
- 5 to 8 years experience in credit control or financial administration
- Matric (Grade 12) is required; a tertiary qualification in credit management is strongly preferred
- Proficiency in accounting systems and Microsoft Office
- Demonstrated ability to reconcile complex accounts
- Strong communication skills with a confident assertive personality
- High emotional intelligence capable of managing sensitive financial discussions
- Attention to detail urgency in execution and calm under pressure
