Are you an experienced Documentum Java Developer eager to drive innovation in content management systems
We are recruiting on behalf of a client for a skilled and results-driven Senior Specialist: Developer to join their Technology and Solutions Delivery team at their Head Office in Pretoria. This role offers the opportunity to apply your deep knowledge of content and records management integration layers and Java technologies to deliver high-impact solutions in a dynamic environment.
Key Duties:
- Develop enhance implement maintain and optimise application modules and subsystems within Documentum environments
- Apply expertise in Documentum xCP Designer Documentum Foundation Services Java APIs and ECM technologies for system customisation and integration
- Investigate and resolve emerging technical problems and provide practical solutions
- Mentor peers and junior developers to foster skills development
- Review technical specifications and contribute to project documentation
- Ensure compliance with governance policies and legislative requirements
- Communicate project risks and issues effectively escalating when necessary
- Drive continuous process improvements aligned with operational strategy
- Maintain productive relationships with internal stakeholders and teams to support service delivery excellence
Key Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree or Advanced Diploma (NQF 7) in Information Technology with 5-7 years experience in Documentum development (2-3 years at a functional specialist level) OR Senior Certificate (NQF 4) with relevant IT certifications and 5-7 years Documentum development experience
- OpenText Certified Developer status with strong Java skills is preferred
- Minimum 3 years experience with Documentum Content Management including Frameworks JavaScript D2 APIs and CSS
- At least 2 years experience with xCP Designer AppWorks Documentum Foundation Services Intelligent Capture XML/JSON client-server architectures and databases
- Working knowledge of enterprise content management components database management Linux and core Documentum objects types attributes and security models
- Strong analytical problem-solving and communication skills with the ability to influence and make complex decisions
