Keep the numbers sharp and the business smarter my client is looking for a Temp Accountant to join their Cape Town team for 6 months!
They are a fast-moving tech-enabled business where finance is more than just numbers its about insight impact and continuous improvement. With a team member going on maternity leave they are looking for someone who can hit the ground running bring structure to the financial processes and help keep everything ticking behind the scenes.
Whats the role all about
This is a key support role within the Finance team managing day-to-day accounting responsibilities while ensuring data accuracy and compliance. Its ideal for someone detail-oriented proactive and comfortable juggling multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
What youll be doing:
- Prepare monthly financial reports including P&L and balance sheets
- Own the end-to-end payroll reporting processes
- Manage banking activities and reconciliations
- Handle intercompany entries reconciliations and transfer pricing
- Support budgeting forecasting and revenue analysis
- Oversee debtor management and drive timely invoicing and cash flow tracking
- Assist with audit processes and documentation
- Provide ad hoc financial analysis to support business decisions
What were looking for:
- A Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field
- Professional accounting certification (SAIPA / CIMA / ACCA) is a bonus
- Proficiency in Excel and financial systems
- Strong understanding of financial reporting payroll budgeting and compliance
- Detail-driven analytical and able to meet deadlines under pressure
- A collaborative team player who communicates clearly across departments
- Adaptable with a growth mindset and readiness to take initiative
