This 12-month contract offers an excellent opportunity to gain expertise with enterprise-scale Microsoft Azure infrastructure at one of South Africas largest financial services groups.
12-month contract opportunity R350 per hour Cape Town (Hybrid)
THE COMPANY:
One of South Africas largest and most respected financial services groups operating at an enterprise scale with millions of customers. They are currently undergoing a digital transformation by migrating critical systems to Microsoft Azure building and managing a highly complex large-scale cloud infrastructure designed to deliver agility security and resilience across diverse financial products and services.
THE ROLE:
As a Junior Cloud Engineer you will support the deployment automation and maintenance of enterprise-scale Microsoft Azure infrastructure in a cloud-first environment collaborating closely with development and infrastructure teams.
Responsibilities include provisioning and automating Azure services managing infrastructure with Terraform supporting CI/CD pipelines monitoring environments responding to incidents contributing to cost optimisation and security compliance and maintaining documentation.
THE REQUIREMENTS
Tertiary qualification in IT or a related field
Certified Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104)
2 years professional IT or cloud experience
Experience with Terraform for infrastructure provisioning
Exposure to GitHub Actions
Understanding of networking (DNS VPN firewalls subnets) virtualisation and operating systems
