A prominent client in the banking sector is seeking an experienced Investment Controller to join their dynamic team. This role is pivotal in supporting strategic financial decisionmaking ensuring the alignment of asset and liability management with corporate objectives and contributing to the overall financial vision through highquality reporting scenario planning and policy development.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Conducting strategic financial modelling and scenario planning to support decisionmaking
- Reviewing and aligning financial policies with the organisations strategic direction
- Preparing accurate balance sheet and cash flow projections budgets and impairment assessments
- Ensuring robust financial controls cost management and governance compliance
- Supporting backoffice operations with system and process improvements
- Engaging with key stakeholders across the organisation to ensure effective financial oversight
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- A Bachelors Degree in Commerce Finance or Accounting
- Minimum 5 years experience in investment banking within a banking environment
- At least 2 years experience in treasury accounting and asset/liability portfolio management
- Deep knowledge of IFRS 9 IFRS GAAP Basel and PFMA regulations
- Proven success in a backoffice role within a large complex financial institution
- Familiarity with SAP Quantum and financial reporting systems
- CA(SA) or CFA qualification is advantageous
