Job Description

Job Title: Technical Analyst (Junior)

Location: South Africa

Role Description

Technical Analyst is part of a specialized division within FNZs Delivery team dedicated to providing consulting services to both new and existing customers. As a Technical Analyst you will play a pivotal role in providing expertise in various areas including:

  • Staying updated on current trends and future directions within the local asset management industry.
  • Presenting and explaining existing FNZ capabilities.
  • Defining challenging and controlling project scope.
  • Documenting customer business outcomes to create requirements solution designs and Joint Target Operating Models.
  • Providing support for business transformation and consultancy services.
  • Offering regulation advice and ensuring platform compliance.
  • Conducting customer training programs and facilitating knowledge transfer.
  • Collaborating closely with Delivery Manager (Scrum Master) Solution Consultant (Product Owner) and Developers.
  • Conducting technical reviews.
  • Conducting Quality Assurance including testing.
  • Analyse internal and external data including how it is used or need to be conformed to be used within the current internal system.
  • Provide solutions and verifying defects.

Team Responsibilities

The Transfer Agency Development team is responsible for providing highvalue services to FNZs existing and potential customers. This includes system configuration and updates. Implementing FNZ Solution process for existing implementations contribute to writing stories to high standards supporting sizing and implementing new projects and carrying out various consulting assignments for both existing and new customers.

Specific Role Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and support for your aligned FNZ client project.
  • Work with customers to define propositions and product requirements.
  • Have a full understanding of the Target Operating Model.
  • Be an expert in the Model Wealth Solution.
  • Document bespoke customer requirements.
  • Provide training programs and consultancy services.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Strive to be an SME (Subject Matter Expert) in the Transfer Agency market in which FNZ operates.

Experience required

Preferred Industry Knowledge:

  • Experience in consulting technical analysis roles.
  • Knowledge of investment/wealth/Unit Trust and/or pensions products.
  • Expertise in the functional areas of the FNZ domain.
  • Understanding of regulatory environment and change requirements.
  • At least 2 years wealth management industry experience.

Required Knowledge & Skills:

  • 1st class degree or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to establish an environment of continuous improvement.
  • Confident and able to take initiative in a client and deliveryfocused environment.
  • Independent selfdirecting and deliveryfocused working style.
  • Superior analytical thinking.
  • Commercially aware.
  • Strong (hands on) in SQL and stored procedures.
  • Proven track record in Agile methodologies.
  • Azure DevOps Confluence or Jira experience.
  • Intermediate computer skills (Strong in Excel).
  • Excellent organizational administration and time management skills.
  • Good team communication skills both internal and external.
  • Highly developed written and oral communication skills.
