Job Description
Lehigh University a renowned R1 research institution is seeking a dedicated Laboratory Technician to contribute to groundbreaking research in the Olfactory Circuits Lab within the Department of Biological Sciences. This unique opportunity offers extensive handson training and experience in advanced experimental techniques including the management of an experimental mouse colony.
Position Number: S72410
This position is a Grade: 8 37.5 with an approximate salary range of $43940$52740 and is subject to change based on experience skills and qualifications.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the experimental mouse colony including husbandry and breeding protocols
Assist with conducting research experiments and data collection
Maintain lab equipment inventory and supplies
Contribute to the analysis and interpretation of research data
Participate in lab meetings and collaborate with research team members
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Biological Sciences a related field or the equivalent combination of education and experience
One to three years related lab work experience including core wet lab skills such as pipetting molarity calculations maintenance of lab notebook and records and following and developing experimental protocols
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent time management with proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and a high degree of initiative for bringing tasks to completion
Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to build foster and maintain positive professional relationships
