Job Description

  • We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Chemical Engineer with Mechanical Engineering experience to join our company in a senior management role. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience operating a distillation column and working in the fuel industry would be an added advantage. The successful candidate will report directly to the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and will be responsible for managing the production process overseeing maintenance and ensuring quality control in all areas of the production process.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee the production process including design development and implementation of production processes ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations standards and specifications.
  • Oversee the maintenance of production equipment and facilities ensuring that all equipment is in good working condition and that any repairs or maintenance are carried out in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Monitor production output and quality ensuring that targets are met and that any issues are identified and resolved promptly.
  • Develop and implement quality control procedures including testing inspection and auditing to ensure that products meet or exceed all relevant standards and specifications.
  • Manage and oversee a team of engineers and technicians providing guidance and support as required and ensuring that all staff are properly trained and competent to carry out their roles.
  • Participate in the development of new products and technologies working with R&D and other departments to ensure that new products are developed in line with company goals and objectives.
  • Ensure that the company is in compliance with all relevant regulations including health and safety environmental and labor regulations.


Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree or higher in Chemical Engineering Mechanical Engineering or related fields.
  • Minimum of 810 years of experience in a similar role with experience operating a distillation column.
  • Experience in the fuel industry is an added bonus.
  • Proven leadership experience in managing a team of engineers and technicians.
  • Strong knowledge of production processes quality control procedures and relevant regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Strong problemsolving skills with the ability to identify issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Flexibility to work outside of normal business hours if required.
