Job Description
Job Title: CAD Designer Engine Air Intake Systems
Location: South Africa Cape Town / Port Elizabeth
Contract Type: Permanent / Projectbased (depending on client requirement)

Position Summary
SEGULA Technologies is looking for a skilled and motivated CAD Designer to join our engineering team in support of design and development projects for passenger and commercial vehicles powered by diesel engines. The role involves fullcycle product development from concept through to postSOP with a focus on air intake and charge air cooling systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse project requirements and contribute to the definition of technical and design solutions
- Develop design concepts based on project scope and engineering requirements
- Perform 3D tolerance investigations and feasibility assessments
- Create detailed part and assembly drawings in accordance with VW standards
- Design and model parametric tubes pipes and sheet metal brackets
- Generate 3D models assemblies and associated technical documentation
- Align and consult with the client on design intent solutions and project progress
- Present design results internally and to the client
- Ensure compliance with technical specifications and project timelines
Project Scope
- Full development cycle involvement: from concept to 3 months postSOP
- Focus on air intake/charge air cooling systems:
- Raw air intake systems
- Damper filters
- Clean air ducts
- Snowfree intake solutions
- Crankcase and cylinder head ventilation components
- Filter holders and acoustic measures
- Integration of special parts
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in mechanical design with a focus on automotive components
- Strong project management and technical analysis capabilities
- Experience presenting results and aligning design direction with client stakeholders
- Excellent understanding of tolerance stackups and manufacturability considerations
Technical Proficiencies
- CAD Tools: CREO Elements CATIA V5
- VW Platforms & Tools: KVS ECA FREIA TERRAPORT Connect NOLIS NVS VAMOS eNTI
- Standards: VW Drawing Creation Standards
- Other Tools: MS Office Suite
Language Requirements
- English: Fluent (fluent)
