Job Purpose

To provide high-level personal and executive support to GC Solar s executive team with a particular focus on legal administrative and compliance-related matters. This role is essential to streamlining leadership operations ensuring legal compliance across business functions and supporting strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Executive and Personal Support

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to the executive team including calendar management appointment scheduling and travel coordination.
  • Maintain confidentiality in all personal and professional matters.
  • Handle communications on behalf of the executives emails calls follow-ups and document drafting.

Legal and Compliance Support

  • Assist with the drafting formatting proofreading and reviewing of business contracts MOUs NDAs and internal policies.
  • Maintain and organize the company s legal files ensuring all contracts and legal documentation are up to date and accessible.
  • Coordinate with internal and external legal counsel to manage legal queries track deliverables and ensure legal deadlines are met.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with relevant laws regulations and internal procedures (e.g. POPIA Companies Act).
  • Prepare basic legal summaries and executive briefs for contract review and compliance purposes.

Operational and Administrative Tasks

  • Prepare and process expenses reports travel itineraries and executive reimbursements.
  • Support the planning and coordination of company events board meetings and stakeholder briefings.
  • Maintain executive records minutes of meetings and follow-up action logs.
  • Develop and manage filing systems both digital and hardcopy according to legal and business retention requirements.


Requirements

Qualifications and Experience Required

Education:

  • Degree or diploma in Business Law Commercial Law Corporate Governance or a related field (preferred but not strictly required with sufficient experience).

Experience:

  • Minimum 3 5 years in a similar role supporting executives or legal teams.
  • Experience in legal drafting document control or contract management is essential.
  • Familiarity with legal terminology and the South African legal/business landscape.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook).
  • Experience with document management systems and e-signature platforms (e.g. DocuSign Adobe Acrobat Pro).

Soft Skills:

  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • High degree of professionalism discretion and attention to detail.
  • Ability to anticipate needs work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
