We are currently seeking a Graduate Mechanical Engineer on behalf of our esteemed client a respected and innovative player in the Defence industry known for its commitment to excellence and cutting-edge technology.
Duties & Responsibilities
About the Role:
As a Graduate Mechanical Engineer you will be part of a dynamic engineering team working on real-world projects from day one. Youll gain hands-on experience in design development testing and optimisation of mechanical systems with mentorship from senior engineers and access to state-of-the-art tools and technologies.Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the design and development of mechanical components and systems
- Conduct analysis and testing to ensure performance and safety standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions
- Prepare technical documentation reports and project updates
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
Candidate Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering (BEng or BSc)
- Minimum average of 85% in Matric
- Strong academic performance throughout university
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks AutoCAD or similar)
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Eagerness to learn and grow in a collaborative team environment
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
