Job Description
Kendrick Recruitment is now seeking a friendly and professional Curio Sales Assistant for a luxury safari camp in the Hoedspruit area. This role is ideal for someone with excellent customer service and sales skills a keen eye for detail and a passion for retail in a hospitality setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Assistance:
Assist guests in selecting products and provide information about items on sale
Ensure all guests receive warm helpful and professional service
Stock Management:
Maintain stock levels by restocking shelves and monitoring inventory
Keep accurate records of stock and report discrepancies
Sales and Transactions:
Process payments via cash and card
Handle returns and exchanges in accordance with camp policy
Maintain accurate transaction records and ensure till accuracy
Shop Maintenance:
Keep the shop tidy clean and visually appealing
Create attractive product displays to enhance guest experience
Product Knowledge:
Develop a strong understanding of all products on offer
Communicate the story and significance behind unique items to guests
Skills and Attributes Required:
Strong customer service and communication skills
Confident sales approach with the ability to upsell where appropriate
Organised tidy and detail-orientated
Basic numeracy for handling payments and stock reconciliation
Physically capable of handling and moving stock items when required
Able to work independently and take initiative
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys engaging with guests and contributing to the guest experience through quality retail service. Candidates based in Hoedspruit are preferred though live-in options may be considered for the right individual.
