Job Description

Reservations Manager 5-Star Luxury Hotel Stellenbosch
Salary: Negotiable DOE

Kendrick Recruitment is now seeking an experienced Reservations Manager for a prestigious 5-star luxury hotel located in Stellenbosch. This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly organised and service-driven professional with a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences in the luxury hospitality sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the entire reservations process ensuring a seamless and professional guest experience from initial enquiry to booking confirmation

  • Lead coach and motivate the reservations team to consistently deliver high service standards

  • Maximise room revenue through strategic inventory management in collaboration with the Lodge Sales Manager and external partners

  • Maintain accurate data entry system updates and reporting within Protel Air or similar platforms

  • Ensure all guest communications are personalised and of the highest quality

  • Manage VIP reservations special requests and resolve guest issues with discretion and efficiency

  • Handle all incoming emails phone calls and messages ensuring timely and professional responses

  • Collaborate closely with other Heads of Departments to ensure operational cohesion

  • Attend departmental meetings compile reports and provide performance updates as required

Minimum Requirements:

  • Grade 12 with a relevant tertiary qualification in hospitality or tourism

  • A minimum of 3 years experience as a Reservations Manager

  • Previous experience in a 5-star or luxury environment preferred

  • Strong leadership communication and team management abilities

  • Proficient in hotel reservation systems preferably Protel Air

  • Solid understanding of revenue management principles

  • Exceptional attention to detail and excellent organisational skills

  • Highly guest-focused with a professional and approachable demeanour

  • Ability to thrive in a high-pressure fast-paced environment

  • Proficiency in MS Office particularly Excel

  • Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and public holidays as required
