Job Description
Kendrick Recruitment is now seeking an experienced Reservations Manager for a prestigious 5-star luxury hotel located in Stellenbosch. This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly organised and service-driven professional with a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences in the luxury hospitality sector.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the entire reservations process ensuring a seamless and professional guest experience from initial enquiry to booking confirmation
Lead coach and motivate the reservations team to consistently deliver high service standards
Maximise room revenue through strategic inventory management in collaboration with the Lodge Sales Manager and external partners
Maintain accurate data entry system updates and reporting within Protel Air or similar platforms
Ensure all guest communications are personalised and of the highest quality
Manage VIP reservations special requests and resolve guest issues with discretion and efficiency
Handle all incoming emails phone calls and messages ensuring timely and professional responses
Collaborate closely with other Heads of Departments to ensure operational cohesion
Attend departmental meetings compile reports and provide performance updates as required
Minimum Requirements:
Grade 12 with a relevant tertiary qualification in hospitality or tourism
A minimum of 3 years experience as a Reservations Manager
Previous experience in a 5-star or luxury environment preferred
Strong leadership communication and team management abilities
Proficient in hotel reservation systems preferably Protel Air
Solid understanding of revenue management principles
Exceptional attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
Highly guest-focused with a professional and approachable demeanour
Ability to thrive in a high-pressure fast-paced environment
Proficiency in MS Office particularly Excel
Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and public holidays as required
