Job Description
- Application of work standards.
- Quality of work completed.
- Decisions within allocated schedule of work and safety standards.
- Changing tasks and machine settings to minimize the effect of unexpected problems.
- Stop the operation if the working conditions are unsafe.
- Do not operate the drill rig before you have examined the face and hanging wall.
- Do not drill an unsupported end.
- Do not work in unventilated ends.
- A safe working area - Safety Meeting
- Early Entry Examination
- Face Preparation
Qualifications :
- Grade 10 Numeracy and Literacy.
- Grade 12 certificate will be advantageous
- Passed Rock Drill Machine Support training module
- Competent B
To be successful you will have the following experience:
- At-least 1 - 2 years experience as Rock Drill Machine Operator
- Pass medical fitness assessment
