Our client is a leading technology company who is looking for a qualified candidate to join their firm.
Automation Strategy & Execution
Define and lead the end-to-end QA automation roadmap.
Implement and scale fit-for-purpose testing frameworks for diverse platforms including web mobile API and microservices.
Embed automated testing in CI/CD pipelines (AWS Pipeline Jenkins).
Oversee test data design and environmental readiness to support smooth automation cycles.
Shift-Left & Continuous Testing
Drive the quality-first mindset throughout the SDLC by embedding testing from the design phase.
Guide product squads in developing resilient automated tests ranging from integration to end-to-end.
Partner with DevOps to enable high-speed parallel test execution and feedback loops.
Quality Metrics & Insights
Define success metrics such as code coverage defect trends pass/fail rates and release quality indicators.
Leverage tools like TestRail XRAY or tailored dashboards to derive insights and support decisions.
Review failures to identify root causes and close quality gaps upstream.
Team Enablement & Skill Growth
Lead mentor and grow a QA automation team distributed across product areas.
Conduct hands-on coaching via pairing sessions workshops and QA chapter meetings.
Provide clear direction feedback and career guidance to QA team members.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Collaborate with engineers product managers and security teams to ensure testing aligns with broader objectives.
Promote consistent automation practices across multiple platforms (e.g. backend services mobile apps frontend).
Lead initiatives that improve release confidence cycle time and regression stability.
Requirements
Technical Skills
Minimum 5 years in automation testing with at least 2 years in a leadership capacity.
Solid scripting knowledge in JavaScript Python Java or equivalent languages.
Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Playwright Cypress Selenium Appium or REST Assured.
Familiar with testing patterns like BDD/TDD and tools for mocking or service simulation.
Practical exposure to distributed architecture serverless setups and microservices.
Mindset & Experience
Passionate about embedding automation as a core product discipline.
Previous exposure to highly regulated domains (e.g. banking payments fintech) is advantageous.
Skilled at leading through collaboration clarity and influence.
Interpersonal & Leadership Traits
Strong communicator and team motivator adept at stakeholder engagement.
Proactive in challenging the norm and driving best-in-class testing practices.
Data-driven detail-oriented and focused on continuous test strategy optimization.
