Job Description
The ideal candidate will have handson experience with Teradata PowerBI MSSQL Hive and Data APIs. Knowledge of Ab Initio is a bonus. The Data Engineer will play a crucial role in building and maintaining data warehouse components on Teradata creating data visualizations on PowerBI ensuring data governance and securing data model approvals.
Minimum requirements:
- Proven experience in data engineering data warehouse design and data visualization.
- Proficiency in Teradata PowerBI MSSQL Hive and Data APIs.
- Familiarity with Ab Initio is a bonus.
- Strong understanding of data warehouse principles including 3NF.
- Excellent ETL development skills.
- Knowledge of data governance and documentation processes.
- Ability to collaborate with crossfunctional teams and obtain data model approvals.
Responsibilities:
- Data Warehouse Development
- Design and build data warehouse components on the Teradata warehouse platform following the 3NF (Third Normal Form) principles.
- Develop and maintain ETL (Extract Transform Load) processes for data integration.
- Data Visualization
- Create interactive and informative data visualizations and dashboards using PowerBI to support datadriven decisionmaking.
- Present data insights in a userfriendly and comprehensible manner.
- Data Governance
- Document data definitions business glossaries and data lineage to ensure data governance compliance.
- Work with relevant stakeholders to establish and enforce data quality standards.
- Data Model Approval
- Collaborate with data architects and other teams to get data models approved before their use.
- Ensure data models align with business needs and adhere to best practices.
