Key purpose:
An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Project Manager and Scrum Master. The successful applicant will be the scrum master of one or two software development teams. This person will also manage software development projects where the project involves more than one scrum team in the organisation.
This position requires a highenergy selfmotivated structured analytical individual with strong people and project management skills. The successful applicant must be comfortable with working in a dynamic diverse fast paced continually evolving and resultsdriven environment.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Ensure that all projects are delivered ontime within scope and within budget
- Developing project scope and objectives
- Ensure resource availability and allocation
- Develop and maintain detailed plan to track progress and to provide status feedback to stakeholders
- Manage key deliverables/tasks with internal team
- Measure project performance using appropriate systems tools and techniques
- Perform risk management manage risks and escalate when needed
- Manage operational activities within a scrum team
- Manage several projects concurrently (multitasking)
- Provide daytoday stakeholder liaison and be responsible for relationship management project management and delivery
- Manage resource allocation levels
- Manage delivery of change through the Agile scrum processes
- Coach the team to effectively apply Agile methodologies
- Escalate commercial issues where appropriate including potential business opportunities
- Play an active role in the Project Chapter collaborating with peer group
- Financial management of project and scrum team
Qualifications experience and competencies:
- Relevant Tertiary Qualication
- Certied Scrum Master
- PMP/PRINCE II experience/certication will be advantageous
- Experienced using JIRA for Scrum and Kanban boards
- At least 5 years work experience in an IT Project Manager role in a fastpaced software development environment
- At least 3 years proven experience as Scrum Master of software development teams
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Be well organised and understand the product development process
- Proven experience running large or multiple scrum teams
- Proven experience managing project budgets
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail with a desire to drive continuous improvement through the project lifecycle
- Excellent people management skills and the ability to demonstrate stakeholder management responsibilities.
