Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the 1st Assistant Repairman in performing maintenance and repairs On Board Cruise Ship equipment and systems
- Conduct regular inspections and troubleshoot any issues that arise
- Maintain accurate records of all repairs and maintenance work
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and procedures
- Assist in the ordering and inventory of spare parts and supplies
- Collaborate with other crew members to ensure efficient operation of the vessel
- Participate in emergency drills and respond to emergency situations as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role
- Knowledge of mechanical electrical and hydraulic systems
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment
- Willingness to work long hours and be on call as needed
- Valid certification in Basic Safety Training and STCW (Standards of Training Certification and Watchkeeping)
