Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist the Chief Electrical Engineer in the operation maintenance and repair of all electrical systems On Board Cruise Ship

- Troubleshoot and resolve any electrical issues that may arise during the voyage

- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of all electrical equipment and systems

- Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repairs performed

- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and procedures

- Train and supervise junior electrical engineers and crew members

- Collaborate with other departments to ensure efficient operations and timely completion of tasks

- Participate in emergency drills and be prepared to respond to any emergency situations

- Keep up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in electrical engineering

Qualifications:

- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or related field

- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a 2nd Electrical Engineer

- Strong knowledge of marine electrical systems and equipment

- Familiarity with international regulations and standards for marine electrical systems

- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

- Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment

- Strong communication and leadership skills

- Valid STCW certification and other required maritime certifications

- Must be able to pass a background check and drug test
