Job Description
RPO Recruitments client is looking for a Junior Manufacturing Engineer to join their team in Woodstock Cape Town. This is a great opportunity to be part of a dynamic and innovative product development environment where creativity precision and continuous improvement are highly valued.
Responsibilities:
Assist in prototyping and testing new products and concepts.
Design and build jigs and fixtures for use in production.
Develop and construct displays and exhibition stands for trade shows and demonstrations.
Analyze and improve manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
Research new materials and manufacturing techniques to improve product performance.
Conduct simulations and tests to ensure product performance and safety standards are met.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design engineering and production.
Maintain clear documentation of design iterations testing results and production schedules.
Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Mechanical Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent experience).
Knowledge of manufacturing processes materials and quality control techniques.
Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical engineering principles.
Experience with prototyping and testing simulations.
Proficiency in CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks AutoCAD).
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to innovate.
