Job Description
Purpose of the Role
The Intermediate IT Project Manager is responsible for planning executing and closing technology projects within scope budget and timeline. This role works closely with cross-functional teamsincluding development infrastructure operations and business stakeholdersto ensure project objectives are met and aligned with business goals.
Key Responsibilities

Coordinate and manage end-to-end IT projects from initiation through to delivery

Define project scope goals deliverables timelines and budgets in collaboration with stakeholders

Create and maintain detailed project plans schedules and status reports

Monitor and manage project risks issues and change control processes

Facilitate daily stand-ups sprint planning and retrospectives for Agile teams
-
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to gather requirements and communicate progress
-
Manage relationships with vendors and third-party providers when required
-
Ensure that project documentation is accurate and up to date

Track KPIs and project performance against agreed success metrics

Conduct post-project evaluations and identify areas for improvement
Requirements and Qualifications
Education:
-
Bachelors degree in Information Technology Computer Science Business or related field
-
Project management certification (e.g. PMP PRINCE2 or Agile/Scrum certification) preferred
Experience:
5 years of experience managing IT projects

Proven experience delivering both software and infrastructure projects
-
Experience working in Agile and/or hybrid project environments
-
Experience working with cross-functional teams and external vendors
Technical Skills:
-
Proficiency with project management tools (e.g. Jira MS Project Asana Trello)

Good understanding of SDLC and infrastructure deployment processes

Strong command of MS Office Suite (especially Excel and PowerPoint)
Soft Skills:

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Excellent organizational and time management abilities

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Analytical thinker with attention to detail

Problem-solving mindset with a focus on delivery
Other Requirements

South African citizenship or valid work permit (if applicable)

Willingness to work flexible hours when needed

Ability to travel to client sites (if required)
