Job Description
Introduction
We are seeking a Software Engineer with BA and Systems Analysis experiencewho thrives in a problem-solving environment and is passionate about building robust scalable and user-centric software solutionsThis is for a fixed term employment contract on-site based in Cape Town.
Requirements:
- National Diploma or Degree in Computer Science majoring in Software Development or relevant qualification
- 36 years of systems development experience with Agile development practices
.Net tech stack
Some cloud technologies / platforms experience (Azure AWS or GCP)
Some DevOps / CI/CD exposure
Able to work in Agile Methodology
Able to have exposure or solid knowledge on Business analysis or System Analysis
Systems Developmentwill be the beneficial experience for coding / dev background
Some testing experience or strong testing knowledge (the know how)
Dealt with escalations / support functions in accordance to SLAs
- Strong programming debugging and documentation skills
- Understanding of systems architecture and software design principles
- Valid Code B Drivers License
Key Responsibilities:
1. Perform Business Analysis
- Evaluate business data and processes for optimization opportunities.
- Consult stakeholders to ensure alignment with IT standards.
- Translate business needs into practical IT solutions.
2. Perform Systems Analysis
- Analyze and optimize system architecture.
- Design scalable flexible solutions aligned with business practices.
3. Perform Development
- Develop efficient secure code for changes fixes and new features.
- Create scalable and reusable programs with proper documentation.
- Ensure systems comply with legal and quality standards (e.g. POPIA).
- Conduct full-cycle testing and support successful deployments.
4. Provide 2nd Line Support for IT Solutions
- Deliver 2nd-line support per SLA and escalate issues as needed and ensure timely resolution.
5. Provide After-Hours Support
- Participate in after-hours support rotation and Manage escalations and coordinate incident resolution.
- Assist with system-related projects and handovers and provide data extracts as required.
