Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Head / Executive Chef for a prestigious luxury safari lodge located in the heart of Limpopo. This is a superb opportunity for a culinary professional who is passionate about creating exceptional dining experiences in a unique and inspiring bush environment.
Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the kitchen
Create and implement innovative menus in line with the lodge s high standards
Ensure consistent preparation and presentation of dishes to the highest quality
Maintain strict hygiene safety and cleanliness standards at all times
Manage kitchen stock levels and place orders as needed
Control food costs and minimise waste
Train mentor and lead the kitchen team to achieve excellence
Work collaboratively with lodge management to ensure guest satisfaction
Cater to special dietary requirements and individual guest preferences
Maintain strong supplier relationships and quality control
A formal culinary qualification from a recognised institution
Minimum 3 5 years experience in a similar role preferably in a luxury lodge or 5-star environment
Proven leadership skills and experience managing a team
Strong organisational and time management skills
High attention to detail and creativity in food presentation
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
Passion for hospitality fine cuisine and delivering memorable guest experiences
Computer literate with knowledge of stock systems and ordering platforms
Willingness to live and work in a remote bush location
