Senior Front End DevOps Consultant
About the Opportunity
Our client in the motor industry is a global innovator in technology and digital transformation delivering cutting-edge IT solutions to support a world-renowned automotive brand. You ll be joining a high-performing dynamic IT Hub in South Africa that delivers mission-critical systems for supply chain and manufacturing operations worldwide.
We are looking for a Senior Front End DevOps Consultant to play a pivotal role in building and maintaining front-end applications for global manufacturing plants. This is an exciting opportunity to work with state-of-the-art technologies in a fast-paced collaborative environment with flexible working conditions.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain user-friendly front-end solutions for global supply chain applications.
Build backend functionality and REST APIs using Java or Python.
Manage automated testing CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code.
Ensure quality and operational excellence through active participation in 2nd and 3rd level support.
Conduct API integration monitoring logging and troubleshooting.
Collaborate globally across teams using Agile methodologies.
Participate in quality assurance checks and provide technical guidance.
Core Skills & Experience Required
Front End Development (6 years):
JavaScript TypeScript HTML5 CSS
Angular (v9) or React
Automated testing: Selenium Cypress or Playwright
Backend Development (3 years):
Java (JavaEE) and/or Python (v3.9)
Frameworks: Spring Boot Quarkus Flask or Django
Unit to E2E testing frameworks
DevOps Expertise (1 year):
Docker Kubernetes
CI/CD pipelines (e.g. GitHub Actions)
Infrastructure as Code (Terraform Ansible Helm GitOps ArgoCD Flux)
Monitoring & logging
Experience with public cloud providers (preferably Microsoft Azure)
ITIL knowledge in Incident Problem and Change Management.
