EXPERIENCE: 6-8 Years related working experience
COMMENCEMENT: 01 August 2025

Bachelors degree in Computer Science Software Engineering or a related field.

Minimum of 5 years experience in Java software development.
-
Demonstrable history of delivering high-quality software solutions.
Essential Skills Required:
-
Proficiency in Java programming and related frameworks (e.g. JavaEE Hibernate).
-
Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
-
Experience with microservices architecture and RESTful API development.
-
Solid knowledge of database systems both relational (e.g. MySQL PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (e.g. MongoDB Cassandra).
-
Expertise in scalable high-performance application design.
-
Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
-
Skilled in debugging and solving complex software issues.
-
Proficient in Git and version control practices.
-
Strong communication skills and team collaboration abilities.
-
Ability to produce clean maintainable well-documented code.
-
Any additional responsibilities assigned in the Agile Working Model (AWM) Charter.
-
Hands-on DevOps experience (IaC GitOps).
-
Familiarity with Microsoft Azure.
-
Experience with automated testing tools (JUnit Selenium TestNG).
-
Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and related tooling.
-
Exposure to monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus Grafana ELK).
-
Awareness of software security best practices.
-
Scripting experience in Python or Bash.
-
Experience with Kafka or RabbitMQ.
-
Working knowledge of Angular or React for full-stack development.
-
Relevant cloud/DevOps certifications
-
Develop and maintain Java-based applications and services.
-
Collaborate cross-functionally to design and ship new features.
-
Ensure application performance responsiveness and quality.
-
Write and maintain unit integration and automated tests.
-
Participate in code reviews and peer programming.
-
Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
-
Work with DevOps to manage cloud-based deployments.
-
Troubleshoot and resolve production issues.
-
Stay current with industry trends and contribute to team innovation.
-
Mentor junior developers and promote knowledge sharing.
-
Document technical designs standards and best practices.
-
Carry out operational tasks to ensure app/system reliability.
-
Respond to incidents and perform root cause analysis and implement solutions to prevent recurrence.
