Job Description
Introduction
Our client in the manufacturing sector seeks to appoint a suitably qualified and experiencedIT Support Specialist in a Manufacturing environmentwith at least5 years direct experiencein a similar position.
Responsibilities include
- Resolving network and application related issueswith the use of network management tools
- Communicating with appropriate staff and directorates in rectifying incidents
- Monitoring the security service continuity and performance of the networkand taking appropriate action to maintain and optimize it
- Identifying any network issues(security resilience performance) taking action to rectify them and reporting to IT manager
- Ability touse process mapping techniquesproblem solving and decision-making tools to assist with document issues via SOPS and process flows
- Learn understand and maintain all software packages within the businessincluding ERP systems
Must haveMatric/Grade 12and a relevant tertiary qualification(BDegree or National Diploma).A or N Certification is essential.Solid knowledge ofMS Servers:domain control and active directoryFirewallsandHyper Visor(ability to split functions) is an absolute requirement ability to integrate and developSharePointwould be beneficial. Knowledge ofSQL serversandEXCEL: VBAbasic coding is required.
