Job Description
Lehigh University a prestigious institution in Bethlehem Pennsylvania is seeking a passionate and driven individual to join our athletics staff as an Associate Coach for the Womens Basketball team. This is a full-time exempt staff position that offers an exceptional opportunity to contribute to the success of our NCAA Division I program.
As an Assistant Coach for Womens Basketball you will work closely with the Head Coach to shape the future of our competitive program. Your role will encompass various aspects of managing a top-tier basketball team including recruitment player development and ensuring academic excellence among student-athletes. You will play a vital role in fostering a positive team culture upholding university values and promoting compliance with all NCAA conference and institutional regulations.
Position Number: S89160
This position is a Grade: 8 - 40 with an approximate salary range of $46870-$56250 and is subject to change based on experience skills and qualifications.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in planning and conducting practices skill development sessions and game preparation.
Support the Head Coach in all phases of recruiting including identification evaluation and communication with prospective student-athletes.
Assist with program operations including travel arrangements scheduling and equipment management.
Represent the womens basketball program in a professional manner both on and off campus.
Contribute to competitive success through scouting opponent preparation and execution of effective practice plans.
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience; Masters Degree preferred
One to three years of related work experience
NCAA Certification required
CPR/First Aid required
Experience as a student-athlete
Commitment to academic excellence and student-athlete development
Ability to work collaboratively with coaching staff and athletic administrators
Understanding of NCAA rules and compliance regulations

This position works with minors
This position is responsible for driving University-owned vehicles as a routine function therefore a valid Drivers License and a good driving record is required
Variable Shifts/Schedule;Often work nights and weekends
This position is considered Essential Services Staff; Essential Services Staff are required to report to campus and remain during inclement weather and other emergency situations; they are defined as those needed to deliver student services and maintain campus facilities campus safety and security
