Job Description

Lead With Purpose in Neonatal ICU Leadership
Location: Pretoria Central Area
Position: Unit Manager Neonatal ICU
Start Date: July (flexible based on notice periods)
A respected private hospital is seeking a dedicated and experienced Unit Manager to lead their Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). If youre passionate about clinical excellence leadership and driving a culture of compassionate care this is your opportunity to step into a high-impact role.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and improve quality nursing care within the NICU
  • Lead and manage a skilled multidisciplinary team
  • Ensure compliance with ethical and professional healthcare practices
  • Support training mentoring and capacity building
  • Manage department-related costs and budgets

Requirements:

  • Registered with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Registered Nurse
  • Neonatal qualification is essential
  • Minimum 2 years of NICU experience in a private hospital setting (preferred)
  • Management/Nursing Administration qualification (advantageous)
  • Strong clinical leadership and interpersonal abilities
  • Intermediate computer literacy
