Job Description
Introduction
Company is Centurion is looking for a Design Engineer to join their team.
Responsibilities and duties will include
- Develop detailed mechanical designs and technical drawings for Weapons and their components.
- Work closely with engineering teams to ensure that designs meet safety performance and regulatory standards.
- Create 2D and 3D CAD models and technical schematics using CAD software.
- Prepare manufacturing documentation including assembly instructions parts lists and technical specifications.
- Ensure that all designs meet the companys quality standards and are produced within project timelines.
- Perform design analysis including tolerance checks stress analysis and material selection.
- Assist with the preparation of reports and presentations to support project development
Key Qualifications
- Type of qualification: Engineering Degree
- 2 Years of experience required
- Proficiency in certain applications/computer programmes
- Essential: AutoCAD SolidWorks CATIA.
- Preferred: Simulation software (MSC One Ansys)
- Sound knowledge of: Design and Implementation thereof
Skills and Abilities
Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles materials and manufacturing processes.
- Familiarity with military standards and regulations regarding weapons and defense equipment.
- Ability to perform detailed tolerance checks stress analysis and material selection.
Personal Traits:
- Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality accurate drawings and designs.
- Ability to listen to feedback while standing firm on well-founded design decisions.
- Passion for design and problem-solving.
- Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team.
- Self-driven and goal-oriented.
- Interest in the defense industry.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment
