Kendrick Recruitment is seeking an experienced and service-oriented Reservations Agent to join a world-class luxury private reserve in the Kalahari. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for high-end travel exceptional attention to detail and a warm professional approach to guest service.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage all reservation enquiries via phone email and booking platforms with professionalism and warmth
Oversee the reservation process from initial contact through to confirmation ensuring accurate data entry into the booking system
Build and maintain strong relationships with travel agents tour operators and direct guests
Liaise with internal departments including front office operations sales and finance to ensure seamless guest experiences
Upsell lodge offerings private safaris and air transfers to maximise guest value and revenue
Remain up to date on seasonal packages conservation initiatives and operational updates
Handle booking amendments cancellations and special requests efficiently and courteously
Ensure deposits invoicing and payments are processed in line with company financial policies
Support the Reservations Manager with reporting audits and database maintenance
Qualifications & Experience:
2 3 years experience in reservations preferably within luxury hospitality or safari operations
Proficiency in reservation systems such as ResRequest PANStrat Opera or similar
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (additional languages are an advantage)
High level of attention to detail and strong multitasking and time management skills
A passion for African travel conservation and luxury guest service
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a high-pressure fast-paced environment
Knowledge of the travel trade and global tourism market would be beneficial
