The ICT Change Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing changes to the ICT infrastructure and services in a controlled and efficient manner. The role ensures that changes are properly assessed authorized scheduled implemented and reviewed with minimal disruption to business operations and in accordance with ITIL best practices.
Manage the end-to-end ICT change management process in line with ITIL framework.
Chair Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings and coordinate stakeholders across departments.
Ensure all change requests (RFCs) are properly documented assessed for risk impact and benefit.
Evaluate the technical feasibility business justification and resource impact of proposed changes.
Ensure communication and training plans are developed and executed for major changes.
Monitor and report on change metrics success rates failed changes and business impact.
Maintain the Change Management register and ensure compliance with change policies.
Work closely with release management configuration management service desk and project teams.
Continually review and improve change management policies procedures and tools.
Ensure changes meet audit and compliance requirements (e.g. ISO POPIA GDPR).
Bachelor s degree in ICT Computer Science Business Information Systems or related field.
Minimum of 3 5 years of experience in change management within an ICT or IT services environment.
ITIL v3/v4 Foundation certification (Change Management certification is advantageous).
Experience managing changes across complex enterprise IT environments.
Familiarity with ITSM tools (e.g. ServiceNow BMC Remedy Cherwell).
Strong understanding of ITIL processes and ICT service delivery frameworks.
Excellent planning coordination and organizational skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to assess technical risk and communicate it effectively to business leaders.
High level of attention to detail and ability to handle multiple priorities under pressure.
Analytical thinking and proactive problem-solving ability.
Percentage of successful changes (without incident or rollback).
Average lead time and resolution time for changes.
Reduction in unplanned or emergency changes.
CAB participation rate and stakeholder satisfaction.
Compliance with audit and governance requirements.
